Osaka Blower's Talent Development Framework

Envisioning the Future and Taking Action on One's Own — The Approach to Developing Independent, Self-Directed Talent

With three frameworks as pillars—backcasting, systems thinking, and TOC—we develop talent capable of envisioning the next 100 years as their own. Working backward from the future, reading structures, and creating change—this thought process forms the foundation of independent, self-directed talent.
Framework 01
Backcasting
A way of thinking that works backward from the future. It involves clearly envisioning the ideal state in 2050 and, from there, derives what needs to be done today. This approach starts not from the challenges before us, but from future possibilities.
Framework 02
Systems Thinking
A way of thinking that examines chains of cause and effect and underlying structures. Rather than looking only at the surface of things, it visualizes the interdependencies and feedback loops behind them, aiming for fundamental solutions to problems.
Framework 03
Theory of Change (TOC)
A structural way of thinking for bringing about desired change. Based on the Theory of Change (TOC), it identifies bottlenecks within an organization or system and finds the most effective point for change.
OUR CULTURE
Turning a Culture of “Paying It Forward” into a System
At Osaka Blower, senior employees pass down their skills and experience to their junior colleagues, who in turn pass them on to the next generation—this culture of “paying it forward” has been part of the company since its founding.
We have continued for more than 100 years not only because of our products and technology, but because our spirit has been passed on from person to person.
To make this culture more firmly established, we are now developing a systematic talent development framework that does not rely solely on individual employees to pass things on.

The Growth Challenge Program: Supporting Every Individual's Growth
A unique program that supports each employee's growth, both as a person and in their work. Managers act not as evaluators but as "supporters," paying attention to employees' day-to-day efforts and processes as well, tracking growth across 16 areas, and ensuring that their growth is properly rewarded.
