Q1:

What led you to join the company?

I first learned about Osaka Blower through an introduction from a recruitment agency. I had long been interested in other countries—I studied at a foreign language university and an international school, and had also spent time in Australia. Hearing that Osaka Blower's products are used around the world, and that the company planned to further expand overseas, strongly appealed to me. I had no experience in sales, but I thought I might be able to take on something new while making use of my experience and language skills, so I decided to join.

Q2:

Was there any gap between your expectations and reality after joining?

Before joining, I had the impression that people working in manufacturing in Japan could be somewhat strict. But once I actually started working, I found that everyone took their work seriously and had a strong sense of professionalism, while also being very kind. Whenever I ask about something I don't understand, people carefully explain it to me until I understand. I also come from a humanities background and wasn't very comfortable with numbers or machinery, but the people in the sales section and other departments explain things clearly, so I've been able to deepen my understanding little by little. I also learn a lot by seeing the actual products, which helps build my understanding of them.

Q3:

What do you find rewarding about your work?

I currently handle sales work related to auxiliary blowers and EGR blowers for marine engines. My tasks include preparing quotations for blower units and after-sales parts, handling orders, and responding to customer inquiries. What I keep in mind every day is providing accurate information to customers. Precisely because this job requires knowledge of both products and technology, I feel that I also need to keep deepening my expertise as a salesperson. In the future, I'd like to become a “technical sales” professional—someone who doesn't simply sell products, but who understands customers' challenges and can make proposals from a technical perspective as well.

Q4:

Do you have a message for job seekers?

At Osaka Blower, sales, design, and manufacturing are all closely connected, and there’s an atmosphere where it’s easy to talk across departments. The sales section and design section are in the same office, and I can communicate directly with people on the shop floor, making it an environment where it’s easy to ask about anything I don’t understand. Even in fields I have no experience with, the people around me explain things carefully, so I can take on challenges with peace of mind. I think this is a workplace where people who are interested in manufacturing or who want to be involved with overseas work or new fields can grow.
