Q1:

What led you to join the company?

In my previous job, I worked at a small, family-run factory with about five employees. The relationships there were good, but over time I developed a strong desire to put my ideas and experience to use in a broader setting, and I decided to change jobs. I first learned about Osaka Blower because my previous workplace was nearby. I found a welding position listed on a job site and, feeling it was an environment where I could put the knowledge and experience in metal fabrication and welding that I had built up over the years to use while growing further, I decided to join.

Q2:

Was there any gap between your expectations and reality after joining?

Since this wasn't an unfamiliar field for me, I didn't have major concerns. However, Osaka Blower is a larger company than my previous workplace, so I did feel some anxiety about whether I would be able to work smoothly with many people. After joining, I was reassured to find that people around me would naturally talk to me and that there was an atmosphere where I could easily ask for advice. Now I have many opportunities to cooperate across departmental lines, and I really feel that each person is working hard for the company, even when their efforts aren't visible.

Q3:

What do you find rewarding about your work?

I currently handle welding of impellers, which could be called the heart of Osaka Blower. I mainly use arc welding, semi-automatic welding, and TIG welding, choosing the optimal method for each material and shape. Impellers are important components that support the performance of ships and equipment, and a high degree of precision is required to ensure their quality. I feel great responsibility and a strong sense of reward in knowing that my welding contributes to the safe operation of ships and the stable operation of equipment. There is also always something to learn in welding. Being able to exchange ideas with colleagues and keep refining my skills in pursuit of a better finish is another appeal of this job.

Q4:

Do you have a message for job seekers?

Osaka Blower is a bright, energetic workplace where it's easy to communicate regardless of age or department. It's also easy to communicate with the factory manager and section chiefs, and there's an atmosphere where you can easily ask for advice when you need help. There are difficult aspects to the work, but if you approach it with motivation, it's an environment where you can grow while refining your skills. I, too, overcame my anxiety about an unfamiliar field and am taking on new work while making use of my past experience. For anyone interested in manufacturing or wanting to acquire specialized skills, this is a very rewarding workplace. I hope you'll join us in taking on the challenge of making even better products.
